Random Picker & Wheel Spinner
Enter options, spin the wheel, and pick a random winner. Perfect for giveaways, classroom activities, team decisions, or settling friendly debates. No signup, no uploads — runs entirely in your browser.
Runs locally in your browser. Nothing leaves your device. The result is random — each spin is independent. Use it for fun decisions and fair picks.
How to use the random picker wheel
Enter a list of options in the text box (one per line), then click Spin the wheel. The wheel will spin and decelerate naturally, landing on one random option. The winner is displayed below the wheel. Your recent picks are saved in the history strip during this visit.
- Enter options — Type each choice on a new line. You can also click a preset button to load an example list.
- Spin the wheel — Click the button or press the Space key while the tool is focused.
- See the result — The highlighted segment is your randomly chosen winner.
- Spin again — Repeat as many times as you like. Previous winners stay in the history below.
When to use a random picker
- Giveaways & contests — Fairly pick a winner from a list of entries.
- Classroom activities — Choose a student to answer or demonstrate.
- Team decisions — Let the wheel settle debates about which approach or direction to try.
- Daily choices — Can't decide what to eat, watch, or do? Put the options on the wheel.
- Icebreakers — Use in meetings to randomly assign tasks, topics, or groups.
Is it really random?
Yes. The spin uses crypto.getRandomValues() — the same cryptographically secure randomness your browser uses for encryption. The wheel animation is purely visual; the winner is determined before the spin starts, so the result is genuinely random and not influenced by spin speed or timing.
Tips for best results
- Keep option text short so it fits on the wheel segments.
- Use 2–20 options for the best visual experience. More than 20 works but segments become narrow.
- You can add, remove, or edit options between spins. The wheel redraws automatically.
- Use the preset buttons to quickly test the tool or get ideas.
